The Heidelberg Center for the Environment connects environmental sciences in Germany, Europe and the World. As an inter- and transdisciplinary center at the University Heidelberg, it harnesses the synergy potentials of a comprehensive university in research, policy and education. The main research focus is on climate change, resource depletion, biodiversity loss, as well as the transformation towards a sustainable circular-bioeconomy.
