Data protection information

As the organisers of the briefing, the Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, and the German Climate Consortium take the protection of your personal data very seriously and adhere to the data protection regulations, in particular the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the new Federal Data Protection Act. In accordance with Article 13 of the GDPR, we would like to inform you below about your rights. During the registration process, your personal data will be gathered. All of this involves data that relates personally to you, such as your name or email address.

Personal data will be processed for the purpose of organising and holding the event.

For information on the legal basis, we kindly refer you to Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR. Under the GDPR, you have the right of access (Article 15), the right to rectification (Article 16), the right to erasure (Article 17), the right to restriction of processing (Article 18), the right to data portability (Article 20) and the right to withdraw consent at any time (Article 13 (2) (c)). You may withdraw your consent at any time without stating the grounds. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority about the processing of your personal data.

As regards the right to information and the right to erasure, restrictions apply (sections 34 and 35 of the Federal Data Protection Act). Please contact us by email info@klima-konsortium.de.

If you also wish to subscribe to the German Climate Consortium newsletter, as well as to register for the event, your data will be used to send you the newsletter. The legal basis for processing your data is your consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR. In this regard, you also have the above-mentioned rights under articles 15 to 21 of the GDPR. You may cancel your newsletter subscription at any time or update your data. If you cancel your subscription, your personal data will be deleted from the subscriber list.
