In Environmental Physics: Atmosphere, Ocean, Land and Climate you deepen your knowledge of the complex relationships between atmosphere, hydrosphere (ocean), cryosphere (ice region), and solid earth (land).
Our activities in environmental physics embrace atmospheric sciences, the physics of the ocean and ice, polar research, remote sensing and soil physics. Our international team has run the programme successfully since 2000. Learn experimental methods, numerical data analysis and interpretation via sophisticated models from experts from the Institute of Environmental Physics (IUP) and the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research. Participate in modern research by preparing a thesis about a project of your choice.
Your future career can be in science in our PhD programme after having successfully completed a MSc degree, or it can also be in industry, or governmental agencies around the world.
