Workshop on “Energy transfer in Atmosphere and Ocean 2017”

The workshop “Energy transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean 2017” which will be held on 3-5 May 2017 (the week after EGU) in Hamburg, Germany. The topic of the conference is the energy cycle in atmosphere and ocean. This includes the interaction of different dynamical regimes such as gravity waves, small-scale turbulence and geostrophic flow, new parameterisations, the formulation of consistent models, but extents also to new numerical methods, and other aspects of geophysical fluid dynamics and the climate system.

The workshop aims to bring together meteorology, physical oceanography, and applied mathematics and is sponsored by the SFB/TRR 181 funded by DFG. There is no fee required to attend. Abstract deadline: 27 February 2017. Please hand in your abstract using the registration tool. After registration you will receive an email with detailed information on hotel possibilities.
